The Sharks are back in the championship!
After this long truce full of twists, the Sharks were finally able to stir the jersey.
On the first day of the Swiss Dodgeball Championships last Sunday, the Leman Sharks club was able to present a Women's and Men's Team for the season. Although the overall staff of the club suffered from the health crisis, he was able to keep his head out of the water and continue to find new recruits already well bitten by the sport. The other clubs also suffered from this break as the women of the Foxes club in Lausanne could only register a team as well. On the side of the cunning men, the foxes will have found the means and the strength to present two teams. The great absences of this recovery will be the Phoenix, understaffed at the beginning of the season, but we do not doubt their ability to reborn soon.
The women met four times throughout the day. In the first game, at 9 a.m., the Lausanne women entered the field confident and fighting and the Sharks rather hesitant and defensive. Then a few minutes after the kick-off, a change of dynamics s Captain of the Sharks, Pascaline, tries and manages to put pace in the team. Balloons hit their targets and defences are effective at holding the score. The Foxes will win the first game only in a lead round!
The follow-up of the meetings will be covered by tactical and fruitful phases but also empty passages, including inconclusive individual actions and a lack of significant synchronization on the phases of attacks. Although our girls didn't win any games on the day, the score was always tight and the game was rather balanced. So our Sharks will still have their say on the next championship day. The Foxes, on the other hand, have returned satisfied with their victories of course but especially delighted with the sporty and committed adversity recognized during these meetings, which, they are sure, will give them a touch of twist on the next days.
For their part, the men started their first game at a steady pace. Although full of spirit and will, the touches are rare and the adversary on the other side of the terrain is precise and ruthless. The game will end with an overwhelming score (27-1). Sounded from this first defeat against Team Globo, our Sharks will show the fangs and be more determined in the next game. The pace is sustained and our players are trying to place their attack strategies but also defensive. The « calls » the game ends on a tighter score! The games will be on the day, our men will all give. One of ours will even leave a finger there to enjoy a little break in the emergency room, fortunately without gravity...
